HopCat Celebrates Belgian National Day with Beer & Dinner


Belgian National Day is Saturday, July 21 and HopCat Royal Oak is planning to celebrate throughout the weekend with favorite Belgian beers on draft and Crack Frites.

On Tuesday, July 24, HopCat will host a special Belgian Beer Dinner at 5:30 p.m. The expertly paired tasting event will feature 5 beers across 4 courses with locally sourced ingredients in every dish. Tickets must be purchased in advance.

  • Opening Beer: Saison DuPont // Belgian Saison // 4.2% ABV
  • 1st Course: Brouwerij Van Honsebrouck’s St. Louis Geueze Fond Tradition // Gueuze // 5% ABV
    Paired w/ Fresh Haricot Vert & Tomato Salad
  • 2nd Course: De Koningshoeven Brewery’s La Trappe Tripel // Belgian Tripel // 8% ABV
    Paired w/ Pickled Mussels
  • 3rd Course: Brouwerij Van Steenberge Calvados BA Gulden Draak // Belgian Quadrupel // 10.5% ABV
    Paired w/ Choucroute Garnie
  • Dessert: Brouwerij Lindemans Framboise // Belgian Raspberry Lambic // 2.5% ABV
    Paired w/ Turtle Semifreddo
