Move over bike share, there’s a new transportation option in Detroit. Bird, an electric scooter company launched this past Friday in Detroit, according to Crain’s Detroit. Bird, which is in over 20 cities, charges $1 to rent a stand up scooter and 15 cents per minute used.
The scooters can be ridden in bike lanes and streets, picked up and dropped off anywhere on sidewalks. The scooters max at 15 mph and cant last up to 15 miles on a charge.
