The Detroit Riverfront Conservancy has taken two of their most popular traditions—Sturgeon Day and Kids Fishing Fest—and fused them into one massive, high-energy celebration on the Detroit Riverfront. Best of all? It is FREE to attend.
Meet a Living Dinosaur: Get up close and personal with a live sturgeon.These ancient fish are local legends, and you’ll learn all about their mysterious lives and the vital conservation work being done to keep them swimming in our waters.
Cast a Line: Whether you’re a pro angler or it’s your first time holding a rod, there’s a spot for you on the pier. Newbies and experienced fishers alike can enjoy a day of casting into the Detroit River.
