Fresh Michigan sweet corn is the star of the show at the Birmingham Farmers Market’s Corn Festival on Sunday, August 12, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Celebrate the sweet harvest with corny games, a petting farm, special kids crafts, a corn eating contest at noon, demonstrations, and old-fashioned corn shelling. Toast and Fleming’s Steakhouse will both be cooking up corn dishes at the market for you to taste as well. Enjoy fresh prepared corn recipes including roasted corn, kettle popcorn, corn bread and other homemade recipes. Shoppers can enjoy the menus of food trucks such as Fire & Rice, Ned’s TravelBurger, and Franks Etc. And of course there will be plenty of fresh roasted Michigan sweet corn for sale.
