The Second Annual Cider Slush is happening at Eastern Market, Shed 5 on Friday, Oct. 19 from 7-10 p.m. Every event attendee receives 10 hard cider samples from local and national cideries, 2 of the famous “Cider Slushy” drinks (made with a splash of Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey), a donut, and live entertainment. Yard games will be on hand thanks to Come PLAY Detroit and food trucks offering bites for purchase.
Core Orchards is Detroit’s first U-pick apple orchard, cider mill, and community gardens located on the city’s eastside. The Cider Slush is an annual fundraiser to support the development of Core Orchards Detroit, ensuring Detroit will have its own commercial non-profit U-Pick Apple Orchard.
