The Royal Oak Commission for the Arts is again hosting the ever-popular Royal Oak Summer Concert Series at a pop-up park on Center and 4th Streets.
For six weeks, beginning July 11, Thursday nights will be home to a 3-act live music showcase of the area’s top bands. Adding to the fun this year, Oakland County Parks and Recreation will be bringing outdoor activities.
Each week starts with an opening set at 6 p.m. with The Detroit School of Rock and Pop Music, followed by two 1 hour sets of local bands. On August 8, the Royal Oak Chamber of Commerce hosts an “After Hours” business networking event at 5 p.m., followed by the usual line-up at 6 p.m. with the Killer Flamingos playing both feature sets at 7 and 8:30 p.m.
