The anticipation is over. Organizers of the Soaring Eagle Arts, Beats & Eats presented by Flagstar Bank today announced the official return of the festival to Royal Oak, Michigan, Sept. 3 through Sept. 6.

The Belle Isle Aquarium, the oldest aquarium in the country, will be reopening to the public on July 16.

The last of the COVID restrictions were lifted today, which means restaurants and bars can return to 100-percent capacity.

Sylvan Table is housed in a 300-year-old barn from Maine that was deconstructed and brought to Sylvan Lake where it was rebuilt and refurbished. The end result is a spacious and cozy building with a large bar in the center and a sunken dining room on the side.

Royal Oak will be hosting a Free COVID-19 vaccine clinic at the Farmers Market called ‘Shots for Shots,’ that incentivizes those who get the vaccine. 

Concerts are firing back up after the COVID hiatus, and the popular jam band Umphrey’s McGee is playing back-to-back shows in Pontiac.

Running through Sept. 6 will be a Jim Henson exhibit at the Henry Ford Museum featuring over 100 original artifacts, including 25 puppets.
