BERKLEY

June & December is hosting an Arts + Herbs Event, offering a relaxing shopping experience with herbal gifts, sips, sales and bites from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 30.

Get started on your holiday shopping at Yellow Door Art Market, featuring an array of art, jewelry, home decor, and more from local artists and vendors. Visit Catching Fireflies next door for more whimsical gifts for everyone on your list.

BIRMINGHAM

Tackle your holiday shopping during Small Business Saturday in walkable Downtown Birmingham. Enjoy free all-day parking in city structures plus free two-hour valet parking between 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. at two locations: North Old Woodward at Hamilton and South Old Woodward in front of Vinotecca.

In addition to enjoying the local shops and restaurants, children of all ages are invited to join the Birmingham Santa Walk on Saturday, Nov. 30 at 9:30 a.m. Walkers will meet in the parking lot behind The Surnow Company (320 Martin Street – southwest corner of Maple & Bates). The walk will welcome Santa to town with a celebration complete with ringing sleigh bells and stops at various stores with giveaways. The walk concludes at Santa’s quaint home in Shain Park. Children who participate in the walk will be among the first able to visit Santa at the Santa House, which will be open from 10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Complimentary horse-drawn carriage rides will be given during this time as well.

DEARBORN

Downtown Dearborn Shop Small offers special perks at Dearborn’s unique businesses starting on Small Business Saturday (Nov. 30) and running through Sunday, Dec. 8. Visitors are invited to download and print the Passport to Savings, a pamphlet outlining more than 30 businesses’ in-store deals. Every passport stamp received is an automatic entry to win prizes from local retailers. The passport is available through the event website and in participating stores and restaurants.

DETROIT

Bank Suey is a volunteer-run, community space located in the heart of Hamtramck. On Saturday, Nov 30, they open their doors for specials sales (including 10% off all radical books), giveaways, refreshments, and book launch. The event runs from 12-6 p.m. with a special reading at 3 p.m. by Torie’ Anderson, who will be reading from her new radical children’s book Revolutionary Girls. Explore tree-lined streets and resident owned and operated businesses in Rosedale on Saturday, Nov. 30 during a neighborhood tour put on by the Grandmont Rosedale Development Corporation (GRDC) in partnership with neighborhood Small Business Saturday vendors and the the Detroit Economic Growth Corporation.

The tour will feature a walking and bus experience with featured stops at Cutz Lounge, Pages Bookshop, Norwest Art Gallery, Town Hall Caffe’, plus a driving tour through residential districts. The tour begins at 12 p.m. and tickets are $7.

The Ultimate Ladies Nightis hosting a pop-up shop for Small Business Saturday, Nov 30 from 12-5 p.m. Tickets are $10 per person, or free with a donation of a box of granola bars, case of water, 6pk of socks (or larger), or warm blanket for Homeless Not Soulless Bags. Tickets include entry to the #ShopSmallPopUp, $5 food ticket, BOGO raffle tickets, and a Shop Small Swag Bag.

FERNDALE

Visit all your favorite shops and restaurants in Ferndale, including Rust Belt Market, and take advantage of free city parking as Ferndale City Council waived the enforcement of downtown parking on Saturday, Nov. 30 for Small Business Saturday.

PONTIAC

SOUTHFIELD

The Southfield Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., in partnership with the Torch of Wisdom Foundation, Inc (TOWF) and Fifth Third Bank promote local businesses in the Metro Detroit area and encourage the opportunity to incubate new businesses with a special Small Business Saturday event.

The day begins with a pop-up shopping event at the Torch of Wisdom Plaza where local small businesses will showcase their goods and services from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Food trucks will be on site from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. and are complimentary with registration. The afternoon transitions to Detroit businesses on Livernois, with chartered transportation to the Avenue provided. During the drive, guests will have the opportunity to hear from experts in Small Business Administration and financial institutions and learn about starting a business, capacity-building, and financial literacy.

The Pop-Up event is free to attend (registration is encouraged) and it’s $5 to reserve a seat on the bus. The bus will depart the TOWF Plaza at 12 p.m. and return by 4 p.m.

WAYNE

Wayne Main Street will be hosting a Small Saturday Kick-Off event on Saturday, Nov 30th in downtown Wayne with two special events from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. The Small Business Saturday HQ is Karma Coffee & Kitchen, where guests can pick up a free small business tote and other swag. Over $1000 in gift cards for local stores will be included in random totes. The first 100 people will also receive a free small coffee from Karma Coffee. From 12-2 p.m., kids can visit Santa at the State Wayne Theatre and receive a free photo with the man in red himself. All events are free to attend, however, RSVP is requested.
